8 New Ways to Enjoy a Burger this Summer!

Do summer BBQs have you wishing you never have to see another boring cheese burger again? At DeCicco & Sons we appreciate variety and something a bit different, and are always trying to think outside the box when it comes to quality food.  We rounded up some of the biggest foodies in our group and developed a list of 8 amazing burgers.  Try and spice up your next backyard outing by making our favorites, yours!

The Regal
A burger so superior it’s fit for the monarchs. Start with freshly ground beef, seasoned to your liking. Top with fresh mozzarella, beefsteak tomato, frisee lettuce, and smother with your favorite secret sauce. Don’t have your own secret sauce recipe yet? Let Sir Kensington’s Special Sauce do the heavy lifting for you.
The Hangover
Had a rough night last night “sampling” some of your favorite craft beers, did you? No worries, this burger is the cure-all you’ve been looking for! A grilled beef patty topped with NY cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, and a fried egg, nestled between a Pretzilla pretzel bun.

The Black-n-Blue
Looking for a slightly leaner option to your favorite burger? No problem, the Black-n-Blue is perfect for you without sacrificing any taste. Start with a Bison meat patty and top with Point Reyes Blue Cheese, truffle oil sautéed spinach and mushrooms, and sundried tomatoes. Serve on a multigrain bun.

The Tiki Burger
Wishing you were sitting on the beach in Hawaii sipping a Pina Colada? Let this tropical inspired burger transport you there. Start with a pork and beef blended burger patty and top with grilled pineapple and duck bacon. Serve with a side of your favorite BBQ Sauce, give Rufus Teague Honey Sweet a try if you’re looking for a new favorite.
The Wild Turkey
This one is for those avoiding carbs at all costs! Start by seasoning a turkey patty with pepper and a little truffle salt. Add avocado, pepper jack, and cherry tomatoes and hug together tightly in a Boston lettuce wrap.
Everything but the Kitchen Sink
Just like making a meatloaf, take whatever you have in your fridge and get crackin’! We’ve chosen to take seasoned ground beef, minced button mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, diced red onions, egg, and bacon bits to form this glorious patty. Topped with cheddar cheese, lettuce, and Walter’s Famous Brown Mustard.
Shark Bait!
Avoiding red meat? Give this tuna burger a try! Fresh tuna steak crusted with black and white sesame seeds, topped with thick avocado slices, frisee lettuce, beefsteak tomato, and drizzled with Inglehoffer Wasabi sauce on a pumpernickel bun.
The Southern Hospitality
So warm and inviting, it will have you feeling right at home in no time! Hand-rolled southern style battered fried chicken on a pretzel roll as the foundation. Top with pepper jack cheese, Boars Head Chipotle Gourmaise, haystack onions, sliced jalapeños, and apple smoked bacon.
