If it’s a perfect summer day you’re after, there’s nothing better than cooking up a feast on the grill, to share with your favorite circle of friends. Practically anything can be perfectly cook over a flame, yet many unexpected foods are forgotten about as they live in the shadow of the BBQ champions, such as Burgers, Hotdogs, and corn. So it’s time to think outside the grill marks!

Last year we walked you down The Grill Less Traveled with interesting and exotic grilled items from meatballs to avocados & cheese to peaches. Let’s take another trip and have a look at what have we cooked up for you this year.

Assorted Kabobs
Kabobs… the “portable” BBQ food! Who doesn’t love food on a stick? This Middle Eastern inspired dish is easy to make and allows you to put your own culinary spin on it. At DeCicco & Sons, our favorites range from marinated chicken to BBQ pork!
Grilled Head-On Shrimp
Shrimp is a staple in any backyard outing, but are you looking for a new and interesting recipe that is sure to “wow” all of your guests?  There is no shrimp more impactful than these beautiful Tiger Prawns. Smothered in a delicious garlic herb butter sauce, they will not only leave a lasting impression on your eyes, but also your taste buds.
Octopus Kabobs
The term “too pretty to eat” may be one of the most overused expressions among foodies. That being said, these kabobs may actually live up to the cliché. An Octopus Kabob may not be your first thought when grilling, but one you sure won’t regret. The way this one looks will give you a whole new attitude on what to order the next time you’re perusing at the seafood counter.
Scallop Kabobs
Scallops are a classic grilled favorite, so why reinvent the wheel on this one? Then again, bacon does make everything better! Delicately wrapped in bacon, perfectly skewered, and paired with your favorite garden vegetables completes this delicious meal. These beauties will be sure to make all your insta followers who weren’t invited green with envy.
Fresh Sausage
Fresh Homemade Sausage, that’s all that needs to be said! A good quality homemade sausage is seasoned to perfection and needs no extra help from the chef. Once it hits the grill the sizzle will be music to your ears. We have been using the recipe for the past 45 year
