Family-owned gourmet grocer DeCicco & Sons opened its sixth store in the Hudson Valley at 2141 Palmer Ave. in Larchmont on Dec. 18. The 25,000-square-foot store, formerly the site of a Guitar Center location, has a full-service craft beer and wine bar, an upstairs dining area and rooftop solar panels that generate 75 percent of the store’s electricity during peak sunlight, according to a company release.

Officials held a grand opening for the store Friday. The store will be open Monday-Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. A grand opening sale is being held through Dec. 24.

DeCicco & Sons now has stores in Larchmont, Ardsley, Armonk, Brewster, Harrison and Pelham. DeCicco Began in the Bronx in 1972, DeCicco Family Markets also has stores in Cross River, Jefferson Valley and Scarsdale as well as New City in Rockland County. The company also plans to open a DeCicco Family Market at 132 Bedford Road in Katonah, the site of the former village’s A&P.

The Larchmont DeCicco’s is the latest supermarket to come to the Hudson Valley, which has seen a changing landscape since A&P filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July and shuttered its more than 30 regional stores in November.

Other fall openings have included a Stop & Shop store at 195 N. Bedford Road in Mount Kisco on Nov. 19; a Mrs. Green’s Natural Market at 1037 Boston Post Road in Rye on Oct. 16; and an Acme Market store on Oct. 11 at the site of the former A&P at 103 Knollwood Road in Greenburgh.
